They can be scheduled on weekdays or weekends when there are no other scheduled events or activities at the ranch. Private tours can be arranged on an individual basis. Admission is free for children ages 5 and under. Suggested admission: $90 per adult $40 for children ages 6-17. Healthy snacks, fruits and beverages provided. Learn about the horse as a native species with its origins in North America, their dispersal throughout the world, and their return to their home continent as it is interwoven with our cultural heritage. Meet some of the mustangs who live here and represent a vital link to the history of the horse in North America.
This is a staff-guided walking tour of the sanctuary with some time for quiet herd observation along the way.

Our tactical team of combat veterans takes action in some of the most remote parts of our country where wolves are most vulnerable.Return to Freedom is preparing our 2022 programs season. In addition, our WolfGuard program is dedicated to the prevention of illegal slaughter of wolves in the wild. LARC advocates against the breeding and selling of high-content wolfdogs and exotic animals. Because tours, petting, photo ops, and “walk a wolf” programs can add undue stress to the animals we protect, LARC is closed to the public. Everything we do takes into consideration the comfort and safety of our sanctuary residents. We firmly believe there is a difference between animal rescue and animal entertainment – which lies in the priority of the animal’s wellbeing over profit. Our Wolves and Warriors® veteran team rescues wolves, wolfdogs and other animals from illegal breeding operations, roadside zoos, and animal shelters (that would otherwise euthanize them), then provide them with a forever home in our sanctuary. Located on a 20-acre facility with a 3,000-acre buffer, we offer both the veterans and our rescued animals an opportunity to heal and thrive in a back-to-nature setting. The Lockwood Animal Rescue Center (LARC) offers a therapeutic work environment for our returning combat veterans and a forever home to wolves, wolfdogs, coyotes, horses, parrots and other animals.
